"Functional asymmetry of cortical language processing areas during word generation in male subjects with schizophrenia having continuous auditory hallucinations"
My area of interest is the study of the neurobiological underpinnings of language, particularly through neuroimaging . Schizophrenia, with the consequent disorganization of thinking processes and language faculties is intriguing since it offers an opportunity to study the activation and connectivity of the language processing areas of the cortex while performing language based tasks. I'm also interested in examining whether the lateralization of language in individuals affected with schizophrenia differs significantly from the general population.
I completed my MD Thesis on “Functional asymmetry of cortical language processing areas during word generation in male subjects with schizophrenia having continuous auditory hallucinations” under my guide, Dr. John P. John and co-guide, Dr. Jitender Saini between 2015 and 2017. |
