“Multimodal Brain Image Analyses Aimed at Integration of Neuro- chemical, Physiological and Anatomical Aberrations in Schizophrenia”
The main aim of the study is to understand the neuroanatomical, neurochemical and hemodynamic aberrations in schizophrenia using multimodal brain image analysis tools like fMRS, fMRI and DTI. It involves examining the role of neurochemicals in brain like glutamate/glutamine (Glx), N- Acetyl Aspartate (NAA), choline, creatine etc in the white matter, and gray matter regions of brain and also to examine its association to hemodynamic Blood Oxygen Level Dependent (BOLD) responses during a language task. |
